He is a neurologist and one of the world's leading experts in regenerative neuroimmunology.

Prof. Pluchino leads pioneering studies on neural stem cell–derived exosomes, focusing on mitochondrial transfer, neuroimmune modulation, and clinical translation in neurodegenerative diseases.
